Why this exists

Everything here has been taught. Not drafted, not generated — taught, revised, and taught again.

I'm a Social Studies teacher with over fifteen years in public schools, and I come from a family of educators. I know firsthand how rewarding this career is and how demanding — and how little time there is, in the school day or outside it, to build good materials.

I originally built this site so my own students could get to their work without a school login or a district firewall in the way. Over time it turned into something bigger: a place where other teachers can take a unit that has actually been run in a real classroom, adapt it, and skip the part where you start from a blank document at 9pm.
